Long-time Lithuanian powerhouse team Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius has decided to let go of German head coach Dirk Bauermann. The 55-year-old Baurmann joined the team in March 2013, in time to lead them to a Lithuanian League finals berth. He was also the coach of the Polish National Team this year.

Lietuvos Rytas is doing well in its home league with a 4-0 record, but had a dismal showing in the Euroleague sitting at the bottom of the Group D standings with a 1-7 score on its card. Management has decided that it wants to take the team in a different direction moving forward.
