Derrick Rose Cleared by Jury in Rape Case

Derrick Rose New York Knicks point guard, Derrick Rose can now breathe a sigh of relief. A federal jury in Los Angeles, California has found that a woman’s claim of rape by Rose and his two friends not to be credible. The former NBA Most Valuable player and his friends were accused of breaking into the woman’s apartment, drugging and incapacitating her, then had sexual intercourse with her.

While dealing with the trial, the 28-year-old star missed practices and a couple of New York Knicks preseason games. It was a serious matter and clearly was weighing heavily on him. The woman was formerly in a relationship with Rose and her testimony was not found to be credible by the jury.

Now that this is behind him, Derrick can now focus on his first season as a Knick. He, along with Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony are gearing up to return the franchise to its former glory.
