David Andersen parts with Fenerbahce

David Andersen (212 cm) is leaving Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul from Turkey’s TBL. The Australian big man and the team mutually agreed to terminate his contract. He originally signed a two-year deal with the club in 2012.

In his lone season with the team in 2012-13 Andersen averaged 8.0 ppg and 2.9 rpg in the Turkish league. In 26 games in the Euroleague he posted averages of 7.3 ppg and 4.0 rpg. In 2013 Fenerbahce Ulker managed to win the Turkish Cup.

Andersen played in the NBA from 2009 to 2011. He played in Italy’s SerieA in the 2011-12 season for Montepaschi Siena. He played 20 games in the Euroleague for them and averaged 11.7 ppg and 6.2 rpg. In the Italian SerieA he came up averaging 13.9 ppg and 5.1 rpg in 38 games.
