Damon Williams sets Korisliiga triple-double mark

Damon Williams (2.01m, college: Colorado St.) set the Finnish Korisliiga league record for career double-triples (5) on Tuesday when he and his squad of four years, Pyrinot Tampere downed the Nilan Bisons 91:84.

Williams finished the contest with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, bringing his current season marks after four games to 17.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game. He earned his fourth triple-double two weeks ago against Korikobrat when he tallied in 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

His career triple doubles in Korisliiga play are:

12.10.2007: Pyrinto vs. Team Componenta: 19 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists
20.4.2009: Pyrinto vs. Kouvot: 18 points, 16 rebounds, 11 assists
23.3.2011: Pyrinto vs. Tarmo: 11 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists
3.10.2012: Pyrinto vs. Korkobrat: 19 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists
16.10.2012: Pyrinto vs. Bisons: 18 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists

    How do they see assists in Finland? Like the NBA?
