CIS All-Canada

Court Side Newspaper is proud to bring you the 2016/2017 season CIS All-Canada Team. We base the selection process only on the advanced statistic of Player Efficiency Rating (PER). This is a one-number measure of a player’s per-minute productivity. It is an overall efficiency statistic that sums up a player’s positive accomplishments, subtracts the negative accomplishments, and returns a per-minute rating of a player’s performance. Until recently only the NBA used this advanced statistic. It has never been used at CIS level.

CONNOR WOOD IS CIS PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Connor Wood, a 190 cm (6’3) guard from Carleton has the highest PER at CIS level with 32.4. Wood averaged 18,4 ppg while connecting on 49,6 % of his 2-point Field Goals and 48,7 % from three-point land. He also averaged 4,5 rpg,  2,5 apg.Connor Wood CIS All-Canada
