Chris Gatling (208 cm, ODU’91), a former NBA All-star, has been accused of squatting in a house in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Gatling is facing several criminal charges.

He is accused of breaking into a key box and and living in the home from July 2010 to August 2011. A police report says the homeowners lived in California but had left the power on.

He listed the four-bedroom home as “for rent” on Craigslist for $800. Gatling’s attorney, however, says that this is just a “misunderstanding.”

Gatling played for CSKA Moscow in 2002-03 and later moved to Victoria Libertas Pesaro from Italy’s Serie A  in February 2003. Gatling last played in the NBA for the Miami Heat during the 2001-02 season where he appeared in 54 games and averaging 6.4 ppg and 3.8 rpg. He made the NBA All-star team in 1996-97. It is reported that Gatling made around $30 million during his NBA career.
