Chorale de Roanne from France’s ProA scored when they landed Charles Thomas (203 cm, Arkansas’08) for next season. He declined a significantly more lucrative offer from Donetsk, specifically with the goal of playing under coach Luka Pavicevic. Thomas spent the last four seasons playing for several teams in the Ukraine.
In 2012-13 he played for the SK Cherkasy Monkeys. In 39 games in the Ukrainian Superleague Thomas posted averages of 16.9 ppg and 5.7 rpg. In 2011-12 he played from Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk, also from Ukraine’s Superleague, where he averaged 14.3 ppg and 5.8 rpg. In 3 games in the VTB United League he averaged a solid double-double with 12.3 ppg and 10.0 rpg. He was also selected to participate in the Ukrainian Superleague All-Star game in 2012.
