Budućnost wins Montenegrian championship

Budućnost VOLI from Podgorica beat Mornar from Bar yesterday 94-70 in the decisive third game of the final series.

It is the first time in seven years that there was no sweep in the finals. It is also the 11th title out of 13 since 2007 that the title went to Budućnost.

Mornar Bar went off to a good start and took a 12-6 lead, but after that, it was downhill all the way. Budućnost turned things around and reached a double-digit lead during the second quarter. Later, they would grow that lead to 25 points (64-39).

Zoran Nikolić was the man of the match and scored 19 points for Budućnost also grabbed 13 rebounds.
