Brion Rush wins arbitration vs. Krasnie Krilya

Brion Rush

Brion Rush filed a claim against his former club Krasnie Krilya Samara (Russia-VTB) at Basketball Arbitral Tribunal (BAT) for outstanding salaries and interest. Rush is an American player who also holds a Montenegrin passport. The player played for the Russian club from 2010 to 2012. The Arbitrator of the case issued an award without reasons.

The Award states as follows:

1. BC Krasnye Krylia Samara is ordered to pay to Mr. Brion Rush USD 48,000.00 net together with interest of 5% p.a. from 16 June 2012.

2. BC Krasnye Krylia Samara is ordered to pay to Mr. Brion Rush USD 2,362.50 and EUR 2,000.00 as a contribution towards his legal fees and expenses.
3. The costs of this arbitration until the present Award, which were determined by the President of the BAT to be in the amount of EUR 3,155.00, shall be borne by BC Krasnye Krylia Samara alone. Accordingly, BC Krasnye Krylia Samara is ordered to pay to Mr. Brion Rush EUR 3,155.00. The balance of the Advance on Costs in the amount of EUR 1,845.00 will be reimbursed to Mr. Brion Rush by the BAT.
4. Any arbitration costs associated with a Request for Reasons shall be advanced and borne by the requesting party. 5. Any other or further-reaching requests for relief are dismissed.
