BBL Champions Cup 2012 goes to Brose Baskets

BBL Champions CupBrose Baskets defeated Ratiopharm Ulm 102-98 in overtime to win the BBL Champions Cup for the third year in a row.

The BBL Champions Cup Final was contested in front of 6,400 fans in Stechert Arena, Bamberg, Germany.

Brose took an early 20-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and held a 43-37 advantage at the half. At the end of the third quarter, the host team still held a slim margin, 63-62. They ended regulation tied at 85 and Brose outscored Ulm 17-13 in the OT.

Bostjan Nachbar led the way for Brose with 26 points, Sergerio Gipson added 21, Casey Jacobsen contributed 18 and Maik Zirbes tallied 17. Bryant paced Ulm with 27 points, Steven ester Kamp contibuted 15, Per Guenther added 12 points and Philipp Schwethelm dropped in 10.
