Hamburg beat Bayern Munchen 91-86 yesterday in overtime. With five wins in a row, the Hamburg Towers now have the longest winning streak in the German easyCredit BBL. Moreover, it means that Hamburg has now beaten both German Euroleague teams within four days (ALBA BERLIN was the other one).
Despite the loss, Bayern Munchen remains in second place in the standings, trailing leader Ludwigsburg by three wins. Hamburg remains in 6th place.
In the Euroleague Bayern has lost two out of the three last games but is still in the race with a 19-12 record and a shared fourth place in the standings.
