Alexander Franklin signs with AZS Koszalin

Alexander Franklin (196 cm, Siena ’10) has signed on with AZS Koszalin (Poland-TBL) to complete the season. Franklin started the season with a tryout in Germany with the Fraport Skyliners, but wasn’t signed. He was picked up by Soles de Mexicali (Mexico-LNBP) and suited up for them in 13 contests, averaging 14.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. Earlier in 2012 he played for Indios de Mayaguez (Puerto Rico-BSN), where he averaged 6.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 21 games. Franklin has also played in Spain and France.

Franklin played four years for Siena, playing 130 games and finishing with a 13.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game average over his career. He averaged 16.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game over 36 games his senior year in 2010.

He also played for the Puerto Rican National Team in 2012, competing in the Olympic Qualifier in Caracas, Venezuela.
