Alex Righetti

Alex Righetti (198 cm) has been released by FMC Ferentino (Italy-Lega2) after he injured his knee during a game in November and was found to have a partial tear of his ACL. While playing for Ferentino, Righetti was averaging 10.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game over the first seven games of the season. In 2011-12 he played for Otto Caserta (Italy-SerieA), averaging 9.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game over 27 SerieA games. In 2010-11 Righetti played for Cimberio Varese (Italy-SerieA), seeing the court in 31 games and averaging 7.2 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. He started his professional career in 1994 and has played his entire career in Italy. He played for the Italian U18 National Team in 1995, the Italian U22 National Team in 1998, and the Italian Senior National Team from 1998-2005. As a member of the 2004 National Team, he participated in the Athens Olympics for Team Italy, earning a silver medal when they lost to Argentina in the gold medal contest.
