Alasdair Fraser (201 cm, Maine’13), or “Ali” for short, has been added by BiG Oettinger Rockets Gotha from Germany’s ProA for the 2013-14 season. The 20-year-old Scottish player will be put to the test as he makes his professional rookie debut. He was a member of the Scottish National team in 2013.
Fraser put up solid averages in his senior year at Maine in the 2012-13 season, posting 13.5 ppg and 8.1 rpg in 30 games. He will need to improve on his free-throw shooting as he averaged only 61.8% from the charity stripe.
“I am delighted that Ali comes to us and part of the BiG family,” said Gotha Head Coach Chris Ensminger. “Ali is a strong addition to our frontcourt. He is a talented and flexible player who can be used as a power forward and center as both an European and an American.”
