7Days EuroCup Round 4 Begins With Five Games

7Days EuroCup The 7Days EuroCup Round 4 got underway on October 23rd with five games for the fans to enjoy. It was a great night for basketball with a mix of blowout wins and narrow victories.

Group B

There were two games from Group B. The first was an impressive 82-68 thumping by ALBA Berlin over Asseco Arka Gdynia. Peyton Siva was on full-auto from long-range, knocking down 6-of-11 shots from deep, en route to his game-high 27 points. It was not a one-man show, however, as he got his teammates involved via his eight assists.

ALBA Berlin’s offense was just too much for Gdynia to handle and their relentless bombardments from beyond the 3-point arc snowballed their lead. Josh Bostic did his best to keep Gdynia in it with his 18 points, but it was just not enough to match what host team was bringing to the table.

In the other game in the group, Isaiah Miles lead Limoges over Tofas 89-81. Miles did not miss any of his six shot attempts from downtown and finished the game with 23 points and seven boards. Limoges had good ball movement and intelligent passing with their 23 assists for the night and they were rewarded with the win on their home court.

Group C

Games from this group were highlighted by road wins. Turk Telekom Ankara seized the initiative early and prevailed over Dolomiti Energia Trento 77-81. T.J. Campbell dropped a game-high 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting from 3-point land. Vladimir Stimac also chipped in with a double-double performance and tallied 13 points and 11 rebounds.

ASVEL was the other French team to secure a victory. They downed BC Partizan in convincing fashion, 78-89. ASVEL used a tight rotation to keep up the steady pressure. Mantas Kalnietis ensured the team was in sync as he recorded 11 points and 10 assists. Partizan committed 12 turnovers which ASVEL was able to convert into easy baskets. Partizan had a balanced attack with six of their players ending the game, scoring in double figures.

Group D

The lone game from Group D was a doozy as it featured two former 7Days EuroCup champions. In this encounter, Unicaja Malaga stifled Unics Kazan and edged them out for the 82-80 win at home. It was the first loss for Unics Kazan for the season and now both teams sport identical 3-1 records.

It was a hard-fought and tightly contested affair. In the end, Jaime Fernandez used his frequent trips to the free throw line to finish with 23 points. On the other hand, his teammates also made sure they did damage from the outside with Unicaja Malaga hit 12 3-pointers vs. just three from Unics Kazan.
