5th International Rixos Cup Finals Set

The Semi-Finals of the 5th International Rixos Cup were contested yesterday with Banvit BC and Anadolu Efes emerging as the squads in today’s final. Besiktas and Galatasray will duel for the bronze spot in the first contest.

Banvit’s Samuel Majia’nin dropped two free throws with 10 seconds on the clock and Besiktas’ Curtis Jerrels missed a jumper for the win with five clicks remaining. The win gives Banvit the opportunity to square off against Anadolu Efes in the finals today.
Vladimir Stimac (2.11m) paced Banvit with 16 points and eight rebounds, Samuel Mejia contributed 15, Serkan Erdogan added 13 and Erkan Veyseloglu dropped in 11. Cevher Ozer led all scorers for Besiktas with 19 points and seven rebounds, Tutku Acik and Patrick Christopher contributed 18 each.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul earns place in final with win over Galatasaray Medical Park Istanbul

Anadolu Efes grabbed their spot in the championship game with a 73-71 win over Galatasaray Medical Park. Anadolu Efes’ Sasha Vujacic paced the scorers with 25 points, Jordan Farmar added 17 in the win. David Hawkins talled 22 points for Galatasaray, Boniface Ndong contributed 14 points, Jamont Gordon added 11 points, five rebounds and seven assists.
