2021 Eurobasket Qualifier Field Complete

2021 Eurobasket

The field of qualifiers for the 2021 Eurobasket is now complete as the last four remaining spots have been filled.

The pre-qualifiers wrapped up with Denmark, Great Britain, Romania and Switzerland emerging atop of their groups, allowing them to punch their tickets and officially join the 32-team qualifier field.

Roberto Kovac paced the Swiss squad with 29 points, allowing them to come away with a 109-85 blowout win over Iceland.

Great Britain saw a similar result with their 64-93 win over Luxembourg, riding high on the 17-point performance by Luke Nelson.

The tightest game in the pre-qualifiers was brought to us by Romania, who edged out Slovakia 74-77 in the hands-down most exciting game of the night. Romania’s 3-point shooting was on point in this game as they successfully converted on 12 long bombs compared to just four from Slovakia. This was a bit of a stunning upset, but credit goes to Romania for pulling out all the stops for the win.

Denmark came through with a 57-68 victory over Albania, making use of their frontcourt advantage and taking care of business on the glass on both ends. They pulled down 44 rebounds compared to 32 by Albania. It was enough of an edge to allow a balanced offense to shine in the end.

Here are how the eight groups are set up for the 2021 Eurobasket qualifiers:

Group B
