Vrsac further without Hemofarm after government support

After two decades the company Hemofarm will stop sponsoring the basketball club from Vrsac. Until just a few days ago, that was seen as the end of the club. However, the municipal government of the city of Vrsac has now intervened and will financial support the club for the time being and will also actively try to find sponsors. It looks like the head coach will be Zarko Vucurovic who coaches the juniors the last three seasons. The new name of the club will simply be Basketball Club Vrsac and the men’s team will participate in the Serbian league, while it is still not clear if the women’s team will play only in the Serbian league or also in the Adriatic league.
