Turkish Airlines EuroLeague The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague 2018-19 regular season is set to tip off on October 11th. That’s just over a month from now but preseason action is already well underway. Teams began engaging in friendly competition in late August in preparation for the upcoming season. FC Bayern Muenchen started things off with a bang, dominating Dolomiti Trento 91-57.

We’re now in early September and the basketball action is heating up as small friendly tournaments and cups are being held all over Europe.

Iberostar Tenerife celebrated the Trofeo Costa Adeje and used their homecourt advantage to defeat Gran Canaria 79-54. Thaddeus McFadden propped up the victors with 15 points.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul blazed passed Germany’s Ratiopharm Ulm 85-67 to draw first blood at the Torneo di Bormio in Italy. Adrien Moerman and Tibor Pleiss played well for the Turkish club, dropping 15 and 14 points, respectively to hold off the Germans.

EA7 Armani Milano took home the trophy at the Torneo di Castelletto Ticino, a Luciano Giani memorial tournament, after beating Varese 106-72. The got off to a strong start and stayed in control for the entire game. American point guard Mike James paced the Milanese organization with 19 points.

Expect more preseason action from all over Europe as teams ramp up their preparations for the 2018-19 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season.
