Round 11 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague wrapped on Friday with some massive games. There were two clashes between former champions, including Olympiacos’ OT win over Real Madrid in Greece. Current champs Fenerbahce travelled to Barcelona and came away with a comfortable win. Also cruising was home team Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, the team defeated Anadolu Efes with ease.

Olympiacos Piraeus vs. Real Madrid, 92-83 OT

Anything you can do, we can do better. A day after CSKA Moscow took possession of first place, Olympiacos defeated Real Madrid to join CSKA on 9-2. This clash between former Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champs showcased how far Real Madrid has fallen. The club is flying domestically, but Los Blancos has lost six of its last seven and sits at 5-6. An 18-8 first quarter gave the hosts a good base, which Real Madrid spent the rest of the game recovering from. The guests managed to tie the contest 74-74 through regulation. However, the effort took its toll on Madrid and in the OT period Olympiacos stole the momentum and eased to victory.

Georgios Printezis drained 21 points in the win, while Janis Strelnieks added 15 points.

Luka Doncic is arguably the best player in the EuroLeague, and he showed why with a career high 33 points in the loss. Jaycee Carroll added 24 points for Los Blancos.

Crvena Zvezda Belgrade vs. Anadolu Efes Istanbul, 100-81

Both clubs headed into this clash needing a win, but Crvena Zvezda used home form for a massive victory. The Serbia champs move to 4-2 on this success and will look to build a run in the coming weeks. Anadolu Efes sinks to 3-8, the joint worse record in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, along with Milan and Malaga. The hosts dropped 50 points in the first half to lead by six point at the long break. Efes was keeping pace, but Crvena Zvezda’s scoring form continued with another 50 second half points. The visitors could not live with the scoring rate and fell away.

James Fedeline grabbed a career high best of 29 points to lead Crvena Zvezda to a second consecutive win for this first time this season.

Bryant Dunston secured 16 points in the win, while Zoran Dragic offered 14 points.

FC Barcelona vs. Fenerbahce Istanbul, 68-83

Spanish clubs are having an awful 2017/2018 EuroLeague, including Barcelona. The Catalan giant is failing again after a terrible campaign last season. Here, the hosts were undone by reigning champs Fenerbahce, which now moves to 8-3 in third place. As for Barcelona, the club falls to 4-7.
