Thaddeus McFadden to leave Braunschweig

Thaddeus McFadden
Thaddeus McFadden (188 cm, Fairmont St.’09) will not be returning to New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig (Germany, BBL) for next season the team has announced. The American guard started the campaign with the Phantoms where he played 15 games and averaged 5.4ppg, 1.5rpg, and 1.2apg.

Despite starting the season with the Phantoms, the 26-year old was loaned to SLUNETA Usti nad Labem (Czech Republic-NBL) where he played 14 times and secured averages of 16.4ppg, 3.5rpg, and 4.0apg.

Thaddeus McFadden will now depart Braunschweig after having his contract waived, and the club wrote on its website the reason the American was let go.

After analysing our roster, we have decided to get another player type. So he won’t play a role for us this season,” said head coach Raoul Korber
