Taquan Dean extended by Sidigas Avellino

Taquan Dean (193 cm, Louisville’06) will remain with Sidigas Avellino from Italy’s SerieA for the 2013-14 season via a contract extension.

Dean has had a history with the team, originally joining them in the 2010-11 season. He began the 2012-13 season playing for Aliaga Petkim from Tukey’s TBL. He played two games in the EuroChallenge qualifying round and averaged 12.5 ppg and 2.0 rpg. He left the team briefly in October 2012. He later returned to log one game for Aliaga in the Turkish league where he tallied nine points and seven rebounds. In November 2012 he moved to Sidigas Avellino, where he played 18 games in the Italian SerieA and averaged 11.6 ppg and 3.8 rpg.
