Sharaud Curry (178 cm, Providence  ’10) has had his contract with Mitteldeutschen Basketball Club (Germany-BBL) terminated at the request of Curry. The point guard asked to be released after he was removed from the starting lineup as he was unhappy with the new role he had coming off the bench, according to the club’s website. When released, Curry was averaging 6.9 points and 19.8 minutes per game over 16 Germany BBL games. In 2011-12 he wore the colors of Allianz Swans Gmunden (Austria-a Bundesliga), where he played 41 games and averaged 18.0 points and 5.0 assists per game. Curry played his collegiate ball at Providence in the Atlantic 10 Conference, averaging 15.5 points per game in 31 games as a senior.
