Real Madrid’s grip on the Spain ACB Liga Endesa continued this weekend as the winningest club in the league’s history continued its winning run. However, the chasing back including Baskonia Vitoria and Barcelona continued to keep the heat on Los Blancos. Still, with ten games left of the campaign, it looks as through Real Madrid will win the regular season and once again be hot favourite for the play-offs.

Real Madrid vs. Obradoiro, 78-65

The hosts took a narrow 19-18 lead through the first quarter but then came to life in the second frame, using a 21-14 run to open a 40-32 advantage through halftime. A 22-10 third act kept the momentum and allowed Real Madrid to extend to 62-42 through thirty minutes. The foot came off the gas for Los Blancos in the fourth, but the hosts easily held on for a cruising win.

Baskonia Vitoria vs. MoraBanc Andorra, 88-75

Baskonia maintained second place with a comfortable home win. The hosts got off to a flying start with a 19-10 opening quarter. However, Andorra showed fight in a stunning 15-30 second frame that handed the guests a 34-40 lead through the long break. Baskonia found extra gears in the second half, taking the third act 28-18 and the fourth 26-17 to sweep aside the visitors.

GBC vs. Valencia, 77-95

Reigning champs Valencia eased past GBC on the road and in the process smashed the record books. The club drained a record 22 triples as the players went downtown throughout the night. The heavy scoring could not be matched and Valencia was 31-55 through halftime. The scoring relaxed a bit in the second half as Valencia eased to the win.

Gran Canaria vs. Barcelona, 77-93

Barcelona faced a tough away trip to the Canary Islands but managed to swamp Gran Canaria with a clinical offensive display. However, the hosts were 38-37 in front as the midway buzzer sounded. Barca responded with an excellent second half, which the Catalan giant won 39-56 to make this a massive road win.
