Erving Walker joins Juve Caserta

Erving Walker

Erving Walker (172 cm, Florida’12) has been picked up by Juve Caserta (Italy-SerieA) to finish the season. Walker is in his first pro season and started the year in the colors of Prima Verolia (Italy-LegaDue) where he has averaged 15.1 points per game over the first eight games of the year. He’s a recent graduate of the University of Florida where he was a four-year starter and played 144 games in his career, averaging 32.3 minutes per game for his last three seasons. He left Florida with a career 12.3 point per game average, as well as a career 3.8 assists per game average. He played more minutes than any other player in Florida basketball history, also set the record for career assists (547) and finished his run with the Gators ranked second in career three-pointers (285) and fourth in points scored (1,777) Walker’s club played in the NCAA tournament his last three years, they lost their first game to Brigham Young in 2009-10; lost to Butler in the Regional Final in 2010-11 (Butler eventually went on to lose in the National Championship game to UConn); and lost to Louisville in the Regional Finals in 2011-12 (Louisville eventually went on to lose the National Semifinal game to Kentucky).

    Will be interesting to see how he will do for his 2nd team team in Italy within 1 season 🙂
