Americans join Finnish teams

Finnish (Division 1 A, which is the 2nd level in that country) teams Huima Aanekoski and Riento Saynatsalo are welcoming new Americans onto their rosters, while others depart. Huima Aanekoski has signed Cory Abercrombie (201 cm, Pittsburgh State’08) to replace outgoing forward Ken Tribbett (204 cm, Drexel’10). Abercrombie finished a two season stay at Nuernberger Basketball Club (Germany, Pro A) in January, where in the 2011-12 season he posted 12.4ppg and 5.8rpg.

Riento Saynatsalo has brought in three American players. Shaquille Johnson (190 cm, Marshall’12) is marking his first contract after graduating, and in his debut last week he notched up 26-points and 6 assists. Joining fellow Americans is Roland Little (206 cm, Idaho State’10) the forward who played the 2011-12 season with BBC White Devils Cottbus (Germany, Regionaliga) where he averaged 12.6 ppg, 10.0rpg, and 1.2bpg.
