Slovenian big man Primoz Brezec (216 cm) has been re-signed by Petrolina AEK Larnaca (Cyprus-Division A) for the 2016-17 season. Primoz first joined the team in 2015-16. He played 11 games for them in the FIBA Europe Cup, where he was able to average 15.0 ppg and 7.0 rpg. Brezec also appeared in 18 games in the domestic Cyprus league and there he posted averages of 12.8 ppg and 7.2 rpg. It was a solid season for both the center and his club. Not only did AEK finish as the regular season champions, they also went on to win the 2016 Cyprus league championship as well.
