Pops Mensah-Bonsu joins Hapoel Jerusalem

Pops Mensah-Bonsu

Former NBA forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu (206 cm, George Washington’06) will be taking his talents to Hapoel Jerusalem (Israel-Winner League) this 2014/15.  He is from the United Kingdom and has been a member of their national team in 2008-10 and 2012-13. Pops was originally set to play for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos S.F.P Pireus, but did not pass their medical tests and he then signed with the Denver Nuggets. He was waived by the Nuggets in October.

In 2013/14 Mensah-Bonsu was on the roster of Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul (Turkey-TBL). He played 18 games for them in the Euroleague and averaged 8.4 ppg and 6.5 rpg. In 37 games in the domestic Turkish league he averaged 8.9 ppg and 6.2 rpg.
