Shavon Shields

Shavon Shields (201 cm, Nebraska ’16) is joining Dolomiti Energia Trento (Italy-Serie A). The Italian team will add Shields for his scoring abilities and his length at the guard position. Trento is currently fifth in the Serie A with a 15-11 record. This season, the 22-year-old scored 14.0 ppg while grabbing 5.3 rpg with the Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt (Germany-BBL). His time with the German team marks his first European experience as he graduated from Nebraska last season.

Shields was with the Corn Huskers all four years of his college days. Nebraska included Shields in their gameplan since his sophomore year as he scored in double-digits in each of his last three years. In his senior season, he scored 16.9 ppg and came up with 5.1 rpg and 2.6 apg. Shields was named to the All-Big Ten second teams for his strong year.
