Mikael Hopkins tabbed by Reggio Emilia

Mikael Hopkins (206 cm, F/C) has signed in the Italian SerieA. Unahotels Reggio Emilia is the team the 28-year-old American big man will play for this coming season. Reggio finished last season in 11th place with a 10-18 record.

Hopkins played the past two seasons for Cedevita Olimpija. There he played Liga Nova KBM, EuroCup, and Adriatic League. Hopkins averaged 8.1 ppg and 6.6 rebounds in 16 EuroCup games last season.

Mikael Hopkins played college basketball at Georgetown, where he averaged 5.1 ppg and 5.8 rebounds his senior year.
