Omar-Sharif Cook heads to Buducnost

Veteran guard Omar-Sharif Cook (186 cm, St. John’s’01) will continue his professional career this season with KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (Montenegro-Erste Liga). Cook 32-year-old player who has dual citizenship from the United States and Montenegro (2008). He recently parted ways with Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius (Lithuania-LKL) in June 2014 after playing the 2013-14 season with the club.

In 22 games in the VTB United League Cook averaged 5.6 ppg and 7.5 apg. He played in eight Eurocup games for them and was able to average 5.8 ppg and 7.0 apg. Omar-Sharif notched 11 games with the team in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and averaged 7.0 ppg and 5.6 apg. Finally, he logged 26 games in the Lithuanian LKL for Lietuvos Rytas and there he delivered averages of 5.7 ppg and 6.2 apg.
