NBA Playoffs: Warriors drop Jazz 4-0, advance to West Finals

NBA PlayoffsThe Golden State Warriors are locked, loaded, and dangerous. They are a pristine 8-0 in the NBA Playoffs so far. Their latest victim on their road to another NBA title, the Utah Jazz. The Dubs crushed the Jazz 121-95 in Game 4 of their series and now comfortably cruise to the Western Conference finals.

Stephen Curry led Golden State with 30 points on some accurate shooting. He hit 9-of-15 shots from the field and a perfect 8-of-8 from the line. Curry also added four treys, five rebounds, seven assists, and a block. Draymond Green was the team’s main facilitator on offense this night, dropping a triple-double, with 17 points, 10 boards, and 11 dimes.

As great as it was to see the Warriors’ offense humming on all cylinders, credit does have to go to their very underrated defense. At times, the team is able to apply their “all hands on deck” approach, normally used on offense, to their defense as well. Anchored by Draymond Green’s presence in the paint and pretty much all over the court, the Warriors turned the tables on the Jazz and were the ones putting the defensive pressure on them. The Jazz were at a loss this whole game and could not shake off Golden State’s harrassment.

Now, the Warriors head to the Western conference finals and await the winner of the Houston-San Antonio series. As things stand right now, it looks like things are shaping up for re-match between the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have also swept their post-season games, and the Warriors in the Finals.
