Matt Shaw to leave Kormend

American forward Matt Shaw (203 cm, UNLV’10) has agreed with Hungarian club Kormend (League A, Eurochallenge) to leave the team. Neither the player nor the club has said why they have agreed to part ways and in fact Shaw had been playing well this season in both the Hungarian League and the Eurochallenge. Over 27 games in the Hungarian top division Shaw recorded averages of 18.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per game and picked up 4 double-doubles along the way. The 25-year old backed up his strong league form with equally impressive stats in the Eurochallenge where he played 6 games and averaged 21.3ppg, 5.0rpg, and 1.7apg.
