Malcolm Grant heads to the Wollongong Hawks

The Wollongong Hawks (Australia, NBL) have taken 24-year old American guard Malcolm Grant (185 cm, Miami’12) onto the roster for the remainder of the 2012-2013 season. Grant will be joining a Wollongong team ravaged by injury in the guard position, with regular starters Rhys Martin and Lance Hurdle both having the misfortune of rupturing ACL’s recently.

The move will be Malcolm Grant’s second professional contract after he graduated from Miami in 2012. He started the 2012-2013 season with Apoel Nicosia (Cyprus, Division A) where he nailed down a berth in the starting 5, and with the injuries at Wollongong he is guaranteed the same with his new team, at least for the time being.
