Maj Kovacevic to play for Komarno

Maj Kovacevic (190 cm) will be playing for MBK Rieker Komarno from Slovakia’s Extraliga in the 2013-14 season. The 23-year-old Slovenian is moving from another team in the same league, BK Edymax SPU Nitra. He was a member of the U18 Slovenian National Team in 2008 and the U20 Slovenian National Team in 2009 and 2010.

In 2012-13 Kovcacevic averaged 12.7 ppg and 1.5 rpg playing in the Extraliga, helping Nitra reach the Slovakian Leage semifinals. In 2011-12 he played in his home Slovenia for Geoplin Slovan Ljubljana (Telemach League) and averaged 9.0 ppg and 1.6 rpg.
