Maik Zirbes back in Belgrade after two years

Maik Zirbes (209 cm, C) has signed with KK Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd.

Zirbes returns to the EuroLeague squad after two years when he played in Slovenia and the United Arab Emirates.

Zirbes averaged 6.7 ppg and 3.6 rebounds for Crvena Zvezda two seasons ago when they played EuroCup. This past season he won the UAE ULB League championship with Shabab Al Ahli.

Zirbes, 31 years old, joins coach Dejan Radonjic. It will be Zirbes’ sixth EuroLeague stint after playing for Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Bamberg, and Crvena Zvezda in previous seasons at the highest European level.
