Lamont Hamilton joins Laboral Kutxa

Lamont Hamilton (208 cm, St. Johns’07) is staying in Spain, but is transferring to Laboral Kutxa (ACB). Hamilton is signing a two-year deal to play for them, making the move from Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket, also from ACB.

In 2012-13 he averaged 13.1 ppg and 5.6 rpg in 36 games in the Spanish ACB. He did average just 50% from the free-throw line, so that would be an area of his game that he needs to improve on. In 17 games in the Eurocup Hamilton posted averages of 13.2 ppg and 5.2 rpg. Gescrap BB was a finalist in the Eurocup in 2013.
