After five players left the club, the Sports Director and also the head coach Cibona actually managed to sign its 5th American import this season. That’s one for the records. Cibona has big financial problems and that is the main reason why everybody is leaving the sinking ship. How Cibona managed to sign Blassingame is a mystery. He played with Polish team Asseco Prokom Gdynia in the Euroleague this season and averaged 11.2 ppg and 5.1 aspg there. In the Polish league (he played his last game on the 19th) his stats are even better; 14.5 ppg and 5.4 aspg in 17 games. Jerel Blassingame also played in Ukraine, Finland, Israel, Sweden and Cyprus before.
