Elsewhere, Galatasaray downed Zalgiris Kaunas and Panathinaikos cruised past Anadolu Efes. The fact of the day, all victories went in favor of the home teams.

CSKA Moscow vs. EA7 Armani Milan, 101-64

CSKA Moscow has sent a statement that it is still the club to beat this season. The Euroleague champs have lost their last three games but bounced back in style to swamp Milan. This win keeps the Army Men on top of the standings at 13-4, while Milan is at the other end, bottom with a 4-13 record. The hosts were scintillating through the first half, securing a 56-25 lead through the long break. Milan simply never got into the game as CSKA cruised. Nando De Colo was back and the current MVP thrived with 22 points.

Galatasaray Istanbul vs. Zalgiris Kaunas, 87-79

Galatasaray grabbed a much-needed win to lift itself off the bottom and move close to Zalgiris. This win moved the Turkish team to 5-12, while Kaunas slipped to 6-11. The Istanbul club was at 40-34 through halftime and carried the momentum in the third act to move 65-57 in front. Zalgiris remained in the game during the fourth quarter, but Galatasaray kept enough distance for the win. Bruno Fitipaldi led the win with 21 points.

Panathinaikos Athens vs. Anadolu Efes Istanbul, 92-81

Panathinaikos kept pushing its run near the top of the standings with a cruising home win over Anadolu Efes Istanbul. The hosts moved to 9-7 in sixth place, while Efes dropped to 8-8 in mid-table. The first quarter gave The Greens a good 21-13 base, but Anadolu Efes won the next two frames to make it 50 points apiece through thirty minutes. Panathinaikos pulled ahead for good in the fourth act, plundering 22 points in the deciding quarter.

Real Madrid vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv, 80-75

A contest between 2015 champs (Madrid) and 2014 champs (Tel Aviv) was close, but the ultimate result shows how what has happened to these teams since those triumphs. Madrid moved to 12-5 in joint second and is in the hunt for the title again, while Maccabi Tel Aviv fell to 6-10 and is unlikely to reach the latter stages of the competition. The Israeli guests were winning 53-56 after three-quarters, but Los Blancos drained 27 points in the fourth quarter to take the victory.
