Robert Dozier joins Alaska Aces

The Alaska Aces of the PBA from the Philippines has selected the one foreign player they are allowed to sign for the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup. They have chosen to add Frenchman, Robert Dozier (206 cm, Memphis’09). Dozier played for the NBA’s Miami Heat during the 2011-12 pre-season. He signed with Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla from Spain and played in the ACB League and averaged 8.8 ppg and 5.5 rpg in four games; and the Eurocup where he had averages of 11.3 ppg and 4.3 rpg in three games. He played with Cajasol Bance for only one month after leaving for personal reasons.

He was drafted by the Miami Heat in 2009 in the second round (60th overall). Robert Dozier was notably part of the Memphis team that made it to the NCAA finals in 2008 along with future NBA stars Derrick Rose and Chris Douglas-Roberts.
