Nymburk adds Retin Obasohan

Czech powerhouse Nymburk has added Belgian national team player Retin Obasohan (191 cm, G) to its roster. Last season Obasohan played in the German BBL for Brose Baskets Bamberg. He also saw some action in the NBA Summer League.

Since leaving Belgium in 2011, Obasohan played college basketball in the US (University of Alabama), and also as a professional in Italy and the G League.

His new team Nymburk is the holder of several records. For example, they have not lost a game in the Czech NBL since March 31, 2018. Their current record is 93-0! Nymburk has also won every Czech Championship since 2004!

For the last two weeks, the Czech basketball league has been suspended due to a surge in COVID-19 infections. But Nymburk’s focus is on the FIBA Championsleague. That’s where they hope to get a return on their investment in Retin Obasohan.
