Mineros de Cananea sign Damond Williams

The Mineros de Cananea from Mexico’s CIBACOPA have signed Damond Williams (197 cm, McNeese State’03). He has already logged two games for his new team and has kicked off his return to the club with averages of 22.5 ppg and 5.0 rpg.

The 32-year-old Williams played in Lebanon’s Division A for the Hoops Club in February 2012. He played 12 games for them and averaged 19.3 ppg and 6.7 rpg. The team made it all the way to the Lebanese Cup Finals in 2012. Before that he played in the Dominican Republic for the Huracanes del Atlantico.

In March 2011 Williams played began his first stint with Cananea and played eight games for them. In that period he averaged 15.6 ppg and 4.1 rpg.
