LeBron James dominates as Heat go up 3-1

The Miami Heat are now one win away from booking their ticket to the NBA Finals. LeBron James had an excellent game as he led his team to a 102-90 victory over the Indiana Pacers. They now force Indiana into a do-or-die situation as they head into Game 5 with a 3-1 advantage.

“We try to get better every single day, every single game,” James said. “When you do that and go out and play the type of game that you are capable of playing, you can be satisfied with the results. And that’s what we’ve built over the years.”

The Heat had a five-point lead after the first half, up 49-44. James capped off the night with a strong second half as he took care of business and got aggressive on the offensive end of the floor, sparking a 7-0 run to kick things off. “King James” ended the contest with 32 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. He went 13-of-21 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. Lance Stephenson, who was tasked to guard James on several plays, was unable to slow down the superstar nor hamper his game. Chris Bosh was finally able to find a spot to be productive and delivered 25 points and six rebounds.

The Pacers could not keep up with the Heat despite getting 23 points from Paul George and a double-double effort from David West, who scored 20 points and grabbed 12 boards. George Hill knocked down four triples en route to his 15-point night.

Miami is on the hunt for their third-straight championship since forming the “Big Three” of James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. All three players have the option to opt out of their existing contracts with the team at the end of the season.
