ABA Playoffs: Buducnost and Crvena Zvezda Post First Wins

ABA Playoffs The tops seeds in the ABA Playoffs secured their first wins of the semifinals, which went down over the weekend. It’s not just about favorites bagging expected wins, but also about how they got them.

Number two seed Buducnost narrowly edged out Cedevita 84-83 in what was a tightly contested game. In the end, the result boiled down to two free throws made by Buducnost’s Nemanja Gordic with four seconds left on the clock. If this is any indication as to how the rest of this series will go, then fans of both clubs will be in for a treat.

On the other hand, the series between top-ranked Crvena Zvezda and Mornar Bar told a different tale. The defending champions easily and handily dispatched with their opponents 91-63. This game went down as expected, with Red Star dominating the matchup from start to finish. James Feldeine blasted through Mornar Bar’s defenses from beyond the arc and finished the game with 23 points. Clearly, this convincing victory has set a tone that leads towards an eventual advancement to the next stage. Still, this is just the first game of the series and Mornar Bar can still manage to pull a rabbit out of their hat and stun us all, despite the odds not being in their favor.

Stay tuned there’s definitely more ABA Playoff action to follow in the coming weeks.
