Elijah Millsap signs with Maccabi Ashdod

Israeli Winner League team Maccabi Ashdod has signed Elijah Millsap (198 cm, UAB’10) for the 2013-14 season. Millsap is coming off a 20-game stint in the Philippines as he played for the Petron Blaze Boosters in the PBA’s Governor’s Cup. He was impressive as he led the league in multiple statistical categories. Elijah averaged 28.8 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 4.9 apg and 2.2 spg for the duration of the tournament.

In 2012-13 he was with the Shanghai Dongfang Sharks from China’s CBA, but was with the team only for the preseason. In December he signed with NBA D-League team, the Los Angeles D-Fenders. In 44 D-League games Millsap averaged 17.4 ppg and 6.1 rpg.
