Earl Rowland moves to Kulubu

Earl RowlandAmerican/Bulgarian Earl Rowland (188 cm, Saint Mary’s California’05) has left VEF Riga (Latvia) and is heading to Banvit Basketbol Kulubu of the Turkish TBL. The guard will spend the 2013/2014 season in Turkey after a glorious year in Latvia. During the campaign the player helped VEF Lativa win the LBL while he scooped the individual honour of the league’s MVP.

Earl Rowland’s selection as the LBL’s Most Valuable Player was justified thanks to his impressive stats through the 2012/2013 season. The 30-year old played 21 league games and averaged 14ppg, 4.7rpg and 6.5apg while he backed up his LBL performances by averaging 16.3ppg, 5.5rpg and 5.4apg from 15 VTB United games.

The American born guard was also in action in the Eurocup where he played 12 times and again averaged impressively with 15.3ppg, 4.2rpg, and 4.8apg.
