Diego Fajardo joins Pistoia

Diego Fajardo (208 cm) is returning to his native Italy to play with Lega2 team Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia for the remainder of the season. The 37-year old center has been on the roster at Hamyari Shahrdari Zanjan (Iran, Superleague) but only managed to play one game with averages of 13 points, 18 rebounds, and 2 assists. The veteran played with Cimberio Varese (Italy, Serie A) through the 2011-2012 season and took to the court 32 times with the team. During those 32 games Diego Fajardo logged averages of 7.6ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.3spg.

At 37-years old Diego Fajardo has plenty of experience and has played in the top flight leagues in Spain and Italy. It is believed that he could now end his playing career in his homeland after signing with Pistoia.
