Darden signs with Glasgow Rocks

The Glasgow Rocks are proud to announce the signing of 6’9″ athletic Centre, Meneptha Darden, to fill the void down in the paint. The 24 year old American will be looking to begin his professional career with the Rocks after a successful final year at Rogers State University where he led his team in both rebounds and blocked shots.

Darden’s large frame and athletic agility should be a welcoming asset to the Glasgow Rocks as they continue their search for their first piece of Silverware since the 2002/03 Season. The Rocks have always struggled to find the ‘right’ big man and with a new season dawning, Darden may be the missing piece to the rocks puzzle.

Head Coach, Sterling Davis, had the following to say about his most recent signing: “Meneptha, I feel, is the big we have been wanting for a while now. He is very athletic, agile, and a really good shot blocker. I think what stood out about him is his intensity level when he plays the game. He is the guy who will do whatever needs done for his team to win and really seems to wear his heart on his sleeve.”
