D.J. Balentine (191 cm, Evansville’16) is taking his game to Iceland after landing a deal to play for Thor Thorlakshofn (Iceland-Dominos League). This is his first signing for the 2017-18 season. Balentine had a busy rookie campaign in 2016-17. He initially signed with Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys (Lithuania-LKL). He played eight games for them in the Baltic where produced averages of 8.4 ppg and 2.8 rpg. D.J. also appeared in 14 games in the domestic Lithuanian league and there he notched averages of 3.3 ppg and 1.6 rpg. Next, the young guard signed with the New Heroes Den Bosch (Netherlands-Eredivisie), there he played 14 games and averaged 10.9 ppg and 3.4 rpg.
