Crvena Zvezda Claims 2018 ABA League Supercup

 Two Titans of the Adriatic locked horns in the ABA League Supercup Finals on September 23 and in the end, Crvena Zvezda toppled Buducnost 75-89. Both of these teams have been at the apex of this regional league over the last few seasons, so it should not come as a surprise that the creme de la creme rose to the top of this tournament.

True to form and formula, Red Star leaned on their defense as well as their unselfish play to power their way to victory. They got off to a hot start and amassed a commanding 25-point lead at the end of the first half. Their shooting was on point and Buducnost could not slow them down.  From there, it was just a matter of taking care of the ball and dictating the tempo of the game.

This was still a very good game by all accounts. For all we know, this could be a sneak peek into a potential playoff matchup at the end of the season. Who knows?
